Bosnia and Herzegovina delegation visits Georgian election administration in study trip

The Georgian election administration on Thursday hosted a delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of a two-day study visit involving sharing of experience and election novelties.

Giorgi Kalandarishvili, the Chair of the Central Election Commission, highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the election administrations and sharing experience.

The visit will see officials of the CEC introduce the visitors to legislative novelties, application of electronic technology and “extensive” public information campaigns in support of the novelties, the body said.

“We have an opportunity to share our experience to them in regard with the application of technologies as well as other electoral issues, exchange information pertaining to the electoral innovations and procedures that aim at advancing democratic processes in our countries”, Kalandarishvili said.

He also provided the participants of the meeting with information regarding the domestic experience in introduction of electronic voting ahead of the 2024 parliamentary elections.

The visit has been organised under the aegis of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
